Getting to Gilleleje by Train

To travel to Gilleleje from Copenhagen central station by train:


1. Take the A train to Hillerød (38 minutes in the train)


2. Transfer in Hillerød to the 950 train (30 min in the train)


The trip will cost around $10 USD one way per person


You can buy tickets at the train station (sometimes the ones in Central Station are temperamental with American cards), or through the Rejsekort app - it's super simple to use and has an English version. Just add your payment details, 'check in' when you start your journey, and 'check out' when you arrive. This is good for all public transit in Denmark.
